The Awakening.

Witchcraft encompasses a magical worldview and involves a religious divinatory. It presents a conflict between good and evil; however, witchcraft is often assumed evil. These assumptions produced deaths, torture, and scapegoating for countless people due to paranoia and fear, which resulted in the unfortunate occurrence of witch trials and hunts.

Poor elderly women were the first to be targeted during the Salem Witch Trials. I noticed that many of them collected herbs that aided in their rituals in various woven baskets, which led to an exploration of weaving and plant material. Rosemary is an essential herb for witchcraft, symbolizing love, rejuvenation, and purification. I naturally dyed cotton with rosemary, then added iron sulfate, which manifests protection in the spell. Magic knots are added to bring forth healing and prosperity, and finally, the fabric is burned to enhance and fuse these attributes.

Witchcraft consists of daily rituals that summon specific positive attributes to manifest in that individual's life for the better. This practice is not trying to take these qualities away from others; instead, it adds virtues to the individuals that practice these rituals.
